Another Successful Company Camp

Our annual Company Camp concluded successfully on Monday 14 November. During the 3D2N camp, our members went through a well-planned 35km Navigation Exercise, a memorable self-run Gala Night and a confidence-building High Elements Adventure Course. The bonds between members were very much strengthened and new skills were learnt through the various activities. Click on the following link to see photos from the camp:

As our annual Company Camp from 12 – 14 November draws near, we can all look forward to spending 3 days with one another as we go about various outdoor activities. The camp will begin in school on Saturday 12 November with some team building activities and preparations for the Navigation Exercise in the evening. The actual 35 km Navigation Exercise will begin at about 7pm, after an early dinner and a bus ride to the start point in NTU. After the 35km overnight hike which includes a basha camp at Kranji area, we will arrive at about noon on Sunday 13 November at the MOE Dairy Farm Adventure Centre. The rest of our activities of the camp, including talent night performances and outdoor high element activities such as rock climbing and zipline, will be done there.

Let’s all prepare well for the camp by (1) Keeping fit and healthy – good to accumulate 6 – 8 km running distance per week (2) Ensuring we have all the equipment we need – see equipment list and packing instructions on ‘Parade Orders’ page.

Till we meet on 12 November, spend your time meaningfully with your family and friends. See you at Company Camp 2011. The non-BB footballers will also be joining us for the camp, so let’s welcome them warmly as they are very much part of our BB94th family.

Captain’s Message (8 June 2011)

Hi everyone. Greetings from Nepal. Just spent the past 6 days doing a reconnaissance of various places in this mountainous country for possible future school trips. The country is vastly different from Singapore, and if you were to come here one day, you will have a whole new perspective about things. I shall not attempt to describe too much through this posting, but rather I hope to reiterate to all of you to treasure the people around you, the blessings you have in first-world Singapore, and be thankful for your lives. You cannot imagine just how blessed we all are as Singaporeans until you see places like those I have seen in Nepal.

I hope you have been spending your June holidays well. If not, it is not too late to make things right. For those who have not done well academically in the first half of 2011, do not delay in rectifying things as best as you can during these holidays. Also keep being good sons to your parents, blessings to your friends, and continually thank God for your many blessings.

Will be touching Singapore for a couple of days before flying off to the United Kingdom for 11 days. May you all have a meaningful few weeks ahead.

Enrolment Parade & Service 2011

Our company’s annual Enrolment Parade & Service was held on 27 March 2011 (Sunday) at our sponsoring church, True Way Presbyterian Church (TWPC). It was a grand occasion with highlights including our newly formed Bagpipe & Drums Band providing music for the parade segment, and our Performance Drill Squad putting up a well-rehearsed stage display during the service segment. A Successful ALC 2011

Dear Company

ALC 2011 is the start of a new chapter in our company’s history. We grow stronger with each passing year, and by God’s grace, we have come a long way since our start in 2004.

Many of you have persevered through the tough training and completed the camp well. The resilience you have built should now go towards the other domains of your lives as you seek to be focused and excellent in the things that you do – academically, socially and in your areas of interest. Do not forget the lessons learnt during the camp and continue to strive for the very best as an active member of BB 94th Coy.

Let’s not forget to thank all the officers and students leaders (esp Camp EXCO led by SSG Ow Ying Chang and SSG Kan Yi Xin) for their efforts in planning and running a meaningful and successful camp.

BB94th @ YOG 2010 as Audience Leaders

During the inaugural Youth Olympic Games 2010 in Singapore, 8 Sec Three Boys and 11 Sec Two Boys from BB 94th Coy were part of the 170 Audience Leaders from Nan Hua High School during the grand Opening Ceremony at the Marina Bay Floating Platform. As the CCA Group with the largest representation of Audience Leaders, the BB guys had a tiring but rewarding experience as they confidently led the crowd throughout the show.

BB National Character Quest 2010 – GOLD

Our competition team did very well this year to achieve GOLD for the annual BB National Character Quest competition held on 4 September at Fairfield Methodist Secondary School. The Officers’ Council extends their congratulations to all team members.

Thankful, victorious & a blessing @ BB Blaze 2010

On 10 April (Saturday), our company participated in more ways than one at the National BB Blaze Competition, which involved long distance running (approx 16-18km), Adventure activities and various Olympic Sports.

Firstly, our competition teams performed remarkably and achieved the Gold Honour Roll, with all 3 teams finishing among the top 15 teams of a total of 143 participating teams nation-wide. Their outstanding achievements bear testament to their fitness, teamwork and hard work put in over the past few months of training. The Officers Council extends their congratulations to all team members.

Also, 30 Boys and 4 officers from our company served the Brigade well by assisting in the running of the competition as activity helpers. Our Captain (LTA) Jonathan Tan was involved in the competition HQ committee as he took charge of one of the 4 area sectors of the competition, which was held at SAFTI Military Institute. Our assistance rendered during the competition is in line with our company’s belief to be a blessing to everyone, including our Brigade HQ.

As a company, let us continue to set high targets for ourselves and do our best for God in everything we do. To God be all glory, honour and praise.
